Marketing trumps technology - everytime - and it’s so important that small business marketing people realise this - you might have the best widget of all time - but no one cares…. until you make them care.
Last week, I met with Julie Meyers, the really very bright person behind many many cool things (if you dont know about her - you should get to know - seriously)
In her speech which was a marvellous travel through her expansive experience and world view, she spoke of the importance of entrepreneurial mindset - in which she says your mindset should be:
Think BIG, start small and move fast….
She also made some really wise points from her own moments of set back , like when she rightly realised that:

After she lost the battle to gain a foothold in the market place with a better product but a weaker marketing campaign.
As Julie says - wake up in the morning knowing that you should market your business in 4 ways.
This is exactly what great marketing is all about.
And my favourite thing that she said from her speech and one which has spurred me on to create something BIG - is that Britain can handle BIG - and remember this is coming from a multimillionaire American who made her money in both places - if Julie thinks we can handle BIG - we can handle BIG.
